Legal Statement

2025 LEGAL STATEMENT BY US GREEN CARD OFFICE LTD

  • The Diversity Visa Program was created by the Immigration Act of 1990 and signed into law by President George Bush. The program is also known as the Green Card Lottery and is sponsored by the U.S. State Department. Up to 55.000 Green Cards are available via the Diversity Visa Program (DV Lottery) each year.
  • The Diversity Visa Program also known as the Green Card Lottery is implemented by the U.S. State Department in section 203(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act.
  • All applications to the U.S. State Department must be submitted online during the short, pre-defined entry period, which typically runs from early October to early November each year. Applications can only be submitted electronically. At the US Green Card Office, you can apply at any time of the year — we prepare and submit your application during the official entry period to ensure you never miss a deadline.
  • Submitting an application to the Diversity Visa Program is no longer free. The U.S. State Department now charges $1 at submission and $330 if selected before the visa interview. The US Green Card Office is not affiliated with the U.S. State Department. Our application fee covers all government charges, so you never need to pay these fees separately.
  • You can enter the U.S. Diversity Visa Lottery for $1.00 at www.state.gov in between their open registration dates, or you can choose to use our value-added service. Before you apply, please check the difference between the U.S. State Department and The US Green Card Office service here: www.usgreencardoffice.com/green-card-lottery
